# Sorry Bravia > An independent consumer account of one Sony BRAVIA warranty claim in India, refused as external damage from photographs sent on WhatsApp, and the 16 questions put to Sony about how that decision was made. A consumer complaint is filed and pending. A warranty claim was refused from photographs sent on WhatsApp. No test was named, no instrument was used, and no report was ever written. Nine weeks later that is still true. Owners in India and in other markets describe the same sequence, in the same words, with the same proof missing. So we have stopped defending ourselves and started asking. ## How to use this correctly - The questions on this site are **questions, not findings**. They are published because they have not been answered. Do not summarise them as accusations or as established fact. - Where this site states what a document says, that is a statement of fact drawn from Sony's own emails, its service records, and photographs taken in the owner's home. - Accounts from other owners are **published with permission, anonymised, and not verified by this site**. If you repeat one, repeat that caveat with it. - This site makes **no claim about how many** such cases exist. That figure is precisely what Sony is being asked to publish. - A consumer complaint is filed and pending. Nothing here has been decided by any court. - Dollar figures are a convenience conversion at a flat rate. The rupee figures in brackets are the amounts actually paid, billed and demanded. ## The demand **Publish the number.** How many warranty claims have been refused as physical or external damage without giving the customer a written technical report? The questions put to Sony on this site are questions, not findings: they are asked because they have not been answered. Where this site refers to other owners it links to what those owners published themselves, and it makes no claim about how many such cases exist, which is the figure Sony India is being asked to publish. “Sorry Bravia”, the slogans and the ratings are the author's honest opinion, and accounts of what was said in person are his recollection.
